Food pans have many names – inserts, hotel pans, steam table pans and service pans to name a few.  Whatever you call them, stainless steel food pans are indispensable in commercial kitchens and are used for more than just holding foods hot for service.  But when using pans smaller than the full size it is recommended to used adapter bars. 

These bars, made of stainless steel, are placed between pans to allow for the stability of various pan configurations. These bars also eliminate gaps for a better look, preventing heat loss and adding safety to your customers
